The blanket is designed to cover the housing in a more effective way, and perform far better than any metal heat shield or exhaust wrap.  By retaining and encapsulating heat from the adapter the blanket will effectively protect surrounding components which can be quite close to the turbo and adapter housing.

This blanket is constructed from high density 1/2″ thick ceramic mat which can handle 2500°F direct contact heat and a 2 layer aluminum bonded and woven pulverized lava rock outer jacketing material capable of handling 2500°F direct contact heat.

The combination of these materials as well as the design makes a long lasting heat barrier which will work to effectively and efficiently reduce heat radiating from the adapter housing which negatively affects the functionality of surrounding components.

We found however that this blanket can realistically fit just about any 45 degree pipe that is 4″ in diameter.

The blanket features 1/2″ thick 6 pound density ceramic mat on the inside allowing it to handle 2500° Fahrenheit direct contact heat.  The exterior is made from a high temperature and very durable Silicone Impregnated Fiberglass.  This blanket is designed to retain heat lowering engine bay temperatures and increase turbo spool times.  Another great thing is that it is handmade right here in the USA.
