Made from high density USA Made needle bonded ceramic mat with stainless steel knitted wire mesh as a direct contact with the turbine housing and a two part aluminum fused woven pulverized lava rock outer layer jacketing.  Stainless steel capstan style rivet fasteners make installation easy and the overall blanket construction extremely durable.  This blanket is capable of handling continuous exposure to  temperatures over 2500°F direct contact heat.

The combination of materials which are included in the construction of this blanket will reduce direct heat given off by the turbo by up to 80%.

In the OEM (and many aftermarket) manifold designs the turbocharger compressor side is configured extremely close to the manifold itself (about 1/2″ away).  It is no surprise that the manifold heat directly affects the compressor side of the turbo and makes it extremely difficult to cool this air (even with the best of intercoolers).  The EVO X manifold blanket was designed with this in mind.

This blanket is handmade in the U.S.A.  It is constructed from a 2 part aluminum bonded woven pulverized lava rock outer jacketing material with an 8# density 1/2″ ceramic layer capable of handling 2500°F direct heat.  This a full coverage blanket that encapsulates the entire manifold greatly reducing under hood heat.

This blanket is a three layer design consisting of a heavy 6 pound density 1/2″ thick ceramic wool inner layer construction that easily handles 2500°F.  This is sandwiched between a high temperature silicone impregnated fiberglass outer layer and a protective stainless steel knitted wire mesh inner layer.  The entire blanket is extremely durable and very well built by hand here in the USA.

Generally speaking if you own a turbo subaru and still have the OEM turbocharger then this blanket will fit.  If you upgraded the turbo to a larger exhaust housing yet still retain the internal wastegate design then you need the long version.  Easy enough right?  We have been selling this pattern blanket for years and have yet to hear a bad remark about it.
